Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Voyageur. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.

Last updated: October 6, 2026

The service

Voyageur is a travel itinerary planner operated by Realistic, Switzerland (“we”), as a non-commercial project. It is free of charge: there are no fees and no paid plans.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old and, where the law of your country requires it, have the consent of a parent or guardian. Provide accurate information, keep your password secret and tell us at privacy@voyageur.travel if you suspect that your account has been misused. You are responsible for the activity under your account.

Your content

You keep all rights to the itineraries, notes and photos you add. You grant us a free, non-exclusive right to store, process, display and transmit this content solely to operate the service for you and the people you share it with. You confirm that you hold the necessary rights to what you upload, in particular photos, and that you may share the information you enter about other people.

Sharing

You decide who can view or edit your trips. People with editing access can add, change and delete stages, bookings and activities in the trips shared with them, so only give editing access to people you trust. You can remove access at any time.

Publishing a trip to the community makes it public: anyone, with or without an account, can read it, and members can start their own trip from it. You grant us a free, non-exclusive right to display the published parts for as long as the trip stays published. Only publish what you are allowed to share and nothing that infringes these terms; we may remove publications that do.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use Voyageur for unlawful purposes or to store or share illegal, infringing or offensive content;
  • harass other users or send them unwanted invitations;
  • attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours, or circumvent security measures;
  • disrupt or overload the service, including through automated access or scraping;
  • upload malware or any other harmful code.

Travel information

Weather forecasts, climate estimates, maps and destination or airport suggestions come from third-party sources and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Voyageur is a planning aid, not a travel agency or booking service: always check schedules, bookings, entry requirements and safety information with the carriers, accommodation providers and official sources.

Availability and changes

Voyageur is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free, or that data can never be lost, so keep your own copies of important travel documents. We may change, suspend or discontinue the service or some of its features; we will give reasonable notice before discontinuing the service so that you can export your trips.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or delete an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, without prior notice in urgent cases.

Liability

As the service is free of charge, we exclude our liability to the extent permitted by law, in particular for indirect damage, lost data and missed connections or bookings. This exclusion does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, to personal injury, or where mandatory law provides otherwise.

Privacy

How we handle your personal data is described in our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will inform you of significant changes in advance, in the application or by email. If you continue to use Voyageur after the changes take effect, you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, you can delete your account.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Geneva, Switzerland, have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory places of jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence and may also bring proceedings there where that law allows it.

If any provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.

Point of contact and reporting illegal content

privacy@voyageur.travel is our single point of contact for users and for authorities, including under the EU Digital Services Act; you can write to us in English, French, German or Italian. To report content on Voyageur that you believe is illegal, send us the link to the trip concerned, explain why the content is illegal and give your name and email address. We will confirm receipt, review the report diligently and objectively, and inform you and the affected user of our decision, its reasons and the available means of redress.
